Oilivia Duncan
Senior Urban Strategist
Olivia Duncan is an architect and urbanist with a passion for technology-driven urban solutions. She
holds an MSc in Sustainable Urban Development from Kellogg College, Oxford University, and is
currently a PhD Candidate at UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture, researching urban liveability and
Emirati women.
With over 16 years of experience in the Abu Dhabi government, Olivia has been instrumental in
shaping urban strategies and masterplanning at the Department of Municipalities and Transport. As
the lead of DMT’s Liveability team, she plays a key role in advancing Abu Dhabi’s vision to become
one of the world’s most liveable cities.
Beyond her government work, Olivia is an active lecturer, particularly at Sorbonne University Abu
Dhabi. Her global expertise spans New Zealand, Australia, and Brazil, where she has collaborated
with leading architectural firms.
