Dr. Faisal Saud Fakhouri is a distinguished biomedical engineer with a robust academic and professional background in medical imaging and 3D printing technologies. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology with Second Honor List distinction from King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA, and completed both his Master’s and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University, USA, with a concentration in medical imaging and medical 3D printing. He is the founder and head of the Medical 3D Printing Laboratory at King Saud University’s Department of Biomedical Technology, where he leads cutting-edge work in presurgical planning models, educational tools, and the development of custom medical devices and instruments. With over 8 years of experience in 3D printing applications in the medical and biomedical sectors, Dr. Fakhouri is recognized for advancing innovation in patient-specific healthcare solutions. Dr. Fakhouri is also a founding member of the Society of Medical Devices Manufacturers under the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, where he contributes to the national strategy for medical technology development. He holds a patent in minimally invasive bariatric surgery tools and is a former employee of GE Healthcare.
