Dr. Haider Butt

Professor
Prof. Haider Butt did his M.Phil. in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2008, followed by a PhD in Nanophotonics in 2012. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Nanotechnology at the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2013 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2016. He joined Khalifa University in 2019, where he is presently serving as a Full Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Prof. Butt has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals and has earned international recognition for his research on glucose-sensing contact lenses, 3D-printed contact lenses, and printable holograms. Prof. Butt is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
