Jorge Ivan Montalvo Navarrete is a Mechatronic Designer and Digital Fabrication Specialist based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Holding a Master’s degree in Engineering and certifications including PMP, CSWE, and Autodesk Certified Professional, he has extensive expertise in CAD/CAM/CAE, 3D printing, and advanced manufacturing. Jorge has led innovation projects across Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Bhutan, Saudi Arabia and UAE. His work spans digital fabrication, educational program design, assistive technologies, industry-academia collaborations, with a focus on democratizing access to technology. He currently serves as an Advanced Manufacturing Manager, driving the integration of digital fabrication into diverse sectors.
